KARACHI: Sindh Government Calls for Governor’s Immediate Resignation
In a recent press conference, Sindh Minister for Excise and Transport Sharjeel Memon, representing the PPP-led Sindh government, demanded the resignation of Governor Kamran Tessori. Memon criticized MQM-P for promoting hatred and violence in the province, stating that the party has become irrelevant at the local level.
He also condemned MQM-P Convener Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui for his remarks against former prime minister Zulfikar Ali Bhutto and the quota system. Memon highlighted Bhutto’s contributions, labeling him as the one who made Pakistan a nuclear power. The minister accused MQM-P of obstructing employment opportunities and perpetuating Sindh issues.
Moreover, Memon criticized MQM-P leadership for abandoning their founder Altaf Hussain during challenging times and alleged the party’s involvement in nefarious activities, including causing harm during strikes. He claimed that MQM-P is influenced by foreign powers and called for Governor Tessori’s immediate resignation for failing to address issues caused by MQM-P.
