Poland Raises Minimum Wage to 4300 PLN Monthly and 28.10 PLN Hourly

Effective July 1, 2024, Poland has increased its minimum wage to 4300 PLN per month, equating to an hourly rate of 28.10 PLN. This adjustment, the second this year, is a response to the consumer price index exceeding 105%, as required by law.

After taxes, workers will now take home 3261.53 PLN, a notable 19.4% increase from the previous rate of 3600 PLN in July 2023. In comparison to 2014, the minimum wage has risen by 2620 PLN, a 156% surge. Plans to further raise the minimum wage to 4626 PLN and hourly rate to 30.20 PLN in January 2025 have been proposed.

The Social Dialogue Council is set to review these proposals by July 15, with final government decisions expected by September 15. Over 3.1 million Polish employees are anticipated to benefit from the increased minimum wage in 2025.
