The EFF has voiced its criticism of the expanded cabinet, accusing the ANC of abandoning its historical role as a liberation movement in favor of becoming a tool of white supremacy and global capital. The party fears that the new cabinet will prioritize profit over the needs of the black majority, leading to regressive policies. The EFF has chosen to remain outside the government of national unity (GNU) for this reason, declaring itself the leading force against capitalism, racism, corruption, and poverty.
On the other hand, Build One South Africa (BOSA) has called for a national convention involving all parliamentary parties to create a government representing all South Africans. They oppose the use of cabinet positions for patronage and express concern over the size of the current executive. The formation of a coalition between the ANC and the DA is seen as a move towards a right-wing agenda that fails to address the country’s pressing challenges.
