Israeli Tank Deliberately Runs Over Injured Palestinian Mother in Gaza Strip
The Euro-Mediterranean Human Rights Monitor has reported a new Israeli war crime in the Gaza Strip, where an Israeli tank intentionally ran over a 65-year-old Palestinian mother, Safiya Hassan Musa al-Jamal, in front of her son. The incident occurred during a raid by Israeli forces on their house in Gaza City’s Shuja’iyya neighborhood. Safiya’s son, Muhannad al-Jamal, witnessed the horrifying act.
Muhannad reported that after being injured in the attack, they were detained for over three hours in their home, near Israeli tanks in a combat zone. They were then taken by Israeli tanks to Mustaha roundabout, where the tank deliberately ran over his mother. Euro-Med has denounced this brutal act as one of many instances where Israeli tanks have intentionally targeted civilians in Gaza.
The rights group has called on the international community to take immediate action to end Israel’s atrocities in Gaza, which have resulted in the deaths of thousands of Palestinians, mostly women and children. This latest incident highlights the ongoing violence and human rights violations faced by the Palestinian people in Gaza.
