Explosions shook Balaklava in occupied Crimea after an air raid alert on July 1, as reported by Crimean Wind. Russian proxy leader, Mikhail Razvozhayev, claimed air defenses were active in Sevastopol. Locals shared images of smoke rising near the thermal power plant.

Razvozhayev stated that four air targets were destroyed, falling in the coastal zone. Explosions were also heard in Cape Fiolent. Ukrainian forces have successfully attacked Russian targets in Crimea, significantly impacting the Black Sea Fleet. Over 15 air defense systems and radar stations were reportedly hit recently.

The Kyiv Independent could not confirm the reports independently, and Ukrainian military has not commented yet. A cyberattack in May disrupted over 250,000 consumers in Russian-occupied territories. Russian providers referred to it as the most powerful DDoS attack they ever faced.
