default

Recently, several U.S. military bases in Europe were put on high alert amidst concerns of a potential terrorist attack. CNN reported that the force protection level was raised to the second-highest level over the weekend of June 29 and 30, as per two unnamed U.S. officials.

Notably, the U.S. Army garrison in Stuttgart, home to the U.S. European Command in Europe, increased security measures to the “Charlie” level on June 30. This level indicates the presence of an active threat or intelligence suggesting an impending terrorist attack on personnel or installations, as per DW reports.

An insider at a U.S. military base in Europe highlighted that this threat level hasn’t been seen in over a decade, signifying the seriousness of the situation. It serves as a warning that the military is on heightened alert and prepared to respond to any potential threats.
