Exciting News: Sindh Governor Signs Off on Rs3.056 Trillion Budget for 2024-25
Get ready, because the future looks promising for Sindh as Governor Kamran Khan Tessori has officially approved the whopping Rs3.056 trillion budget for the upcoming fiscal year 2024-25. The Finance Bill 2024-25 is all set to come into effect starting tomorrow.
The Sindh Assembly had previously given the green light to the Budget 2024-25 and Finance Bill, disregarding all cut-motions put forward by opposition members from MQM-P and JI. These members had raised concerns about specific allocations they deemed unnecessary and burdensome on the public exchequer.
This comprehensive budget includes over Rs900 billion earmarked for development projects. It breaks down to Rs1.96 trillion in current revenue, Rs184 billion in current capital, Rs42 billion for debt repayment, and Rs142.5 billion for government investments.
