Atiku Abubakar Raises Concerns Over Terrorism Resurgence in North East
The presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the 2023 elections, Atiku Abubakar, has expressed worries over the re-emergence of terrorism in the North East region of Nigeria. He strongly condemned the recent bomb attacks in Gwoza Local Government Area of Borno State, which resulted in the loss of lives and injuries to many citizens.
In a statement, Atiku emphasized the need for the government to take decisive action against the terrorists, stating that the progress made in the fight against insurgency is being undone by the lackadaisical approach of the current administration. He called on the federal government to prevent the North East from once again falling into the hands of terrorists and becoming a hotspot for extreme violence.
Atiku extended his condolences to the families of the victims and prayed for the souls of the departed to rest in peace. He urged for urgent action to prevent further attacks and to safeguard the lives and security of the people in the North East region.
