In a recent meeting, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Hisham Sharaf, from the Sanaa government, met with Mari YAMASHITA, the Deputy Head of Mission of UNMHA. Minister Sharaf expressed Sanaa’s commitment to international peace and security in the region, particularly focusing on the Red Sea, Bab al-Mandab Strait, and the Arabian Sea.
The minister also reiterated that Yemeni military operations are only targeting ships belonging to the Israeli enemy or those traveling to and from occupied Palestinian ports. This will continue until the Zionist military aggression ceases, allowing for the free flow of humanitarian aid into Gaza.
The Sanaa government remains dedicated to implementing the Stockholm Agreement and is eager to achieve a comprehensive political settlement that addresses the Yemeni people’s needs and rights. The UN official pledged to work towards restoring security and stability in Yemen.
