Israelis demand prisoner swap with Palestinians, protest against Netanyahu regime

Thousands of Israelis took to the streets in Tel Aviv and other cities, demanding a hostage swap deal with Palestinian factions and early elections. Demonstrations at various locations, including Karkur junction and Netanyahu’s residence, called for new leadership and swift action regarding hostages held in Gaza.

Netanyahu initially proposed a “partial” deal for the release of Israeli captives but later expressed commitment to a Gaza cease-fire supported by US President Joe Biden. Despite international condemnation, Israel continues its offensive in Gaza, resulting in numerous Palestinian casualties and widespread destruction.

As the conflict persists with failed cease-fire negotiations, Gaza faces humanitarian crisis with limited access to essential resources. Israel faces accusations of genocide at the International Court of Justice, highlighting the urgent need for a peaceful resolution and end to the violence.
