north korea times

In a recent statement, the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPRK) strongly condemned the first-ever multi-domain military exercises involving the United States, Japan, and South Korea. The DPRK vowed to take necessary countermeasures to protect its sovereignty and security, expressing its disapproval of the trilateral “Freedom Edge” military drills as a product of the U.S.-Japan-ROK military bloc.

The DPRK criticized the repeated provocative military actions by the three countries, stating that the exercises are part of the U.S. strategy for world domination. These actions are seen as a threat to the world security environment and geopolitical structure.

The KCNA reported that the DPRK will defend its sovereignty, security, and regional peace through strong countermeasures. The exercises, focusing on ballistic missile defense, air defense, anti-submarine warfare, and cyber training, were conducted in waters off southern South Korea.

With tensions rising in the region, the DPRK’s response to these military exercises highlights the ongoing geopolitical challenges and the DPRK’s commitment to safeguarding its interests.
