New Delhi: The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has accused central investigative agencies of misleading the Supreme Court, leading to a protest planned by the opposition I.N.D.I.A. bloc on the Parliament premises on Monday. AAP Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Singh addressed a press conference, alleging that the Enforcement Directorate (ED) and the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) are misusing their power by targeting Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and former deputy Manish Sisodia without sufficient evidence. Despite a trial court granting bail to Kejriwal, the ED sought the High Court’s intervention and secured a stay on the bail, and later, the CBI arrested Kejriwal just as he was set to receive bail from the Supreme Court. Singh criticized the agencies for prolonging the investigation, leading to several political leaders being unjustly targeted. The I.N.D.I.A. bloc plans to protest against the agencies in Parliament on Monday.
