UN Meeting on Afghanistan: Seeking Sanctions Lifting and Development of Relations
KABUL, Afghanistan – The UN meeting on Afghanistan, set to start on Sunday in Doha, Qatar, will see Afghanistan seeking the lifting of sanctions and the development of relations. Zabihullah Mujahid, the interim administration chief spokesman, is leading the Afghan delegation for the meeting.
In a statement, Mujahid mentioned that the delegation from the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan will participate in the Doha meeting with the aim of increasing interaction and solving problems. He emphasized that they do not harbor hostility towards any party and invited representatives of participating countries to visit Afghanistan.
The delegation will focus on economic problems, lifting sanctions, and not discussing internal affairs at the meeting. Issues related to women are expected to be on the agenda of the UN meeting, with hopes to lift sanctions against Afghanistan.
Representatives from over 25 countries and international organizations will participate in the meeting, aiming to address the challenging issues faced by Afghanistan and strengthen relations.
