Vinnytsia City Council has recently allocated nearly UAH 225 million to provide support to Ukrainian forces, with a significant portion of UAH 200 million designated for the purchase of military bonds. This decision was announced by Vinnytsia Mayor Serhii Morhunov on Facebook after the 47th session of the city council on June 28.
Among the allocations, nearly UAH 17 million will be sent as subventions to various security and defense force structures, UAH 2.3 million to the Vinnytsia communications regiment, and UAH 5 million to improve treatment conditions for defenders at the local hospital. Additionally, plans are in place to direct up to UAH 200 million through military bonds to support the army by aiding in the acquisition of heavy weapons.
Since the start of the year, Vinnytsia has already set aside over UAH 400 million to back the army, with more than UAH 1 billion allocated in the city budget for security and defense. A further increase of UAH 200 million is anticipated.
