Tajikistan Approves State Greening Program Until 2040

Tajikistan has taken a significant step towards environmental conservation by approving a state greening program that will be in effect until 2040. This recent development was announced during a government meeting, with the goal of implementing tree and shrub planting initiatives throughout cities and regions in Tajikistan. The program aims to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, improve air quality, maintain ecological balance, and adapt to climate change processes.

President Emomali Rahmon has instructed relevant ministries and departments to take concrete measures for the effective implementation of the program. Key focus areas include increasing the number of nurseries, improving their efficiency, organized grain harvest collection, reseeding on irrigated lands, timely harvesting of fruits and vegetables, and preparation for export in the upcoming autumn and winter seasons. The President also emphasized the construction and renovation of educational institutions to ensure comprehensive readiness for the new academic year.

This initiative highlights Tajikistan’s commitment to sustainable development and environmental protection, setting a positive example for other nations to follow.
