Spain backs South Africa’s genocide case within 80 chars

royanews

Spain has officially requested to join South Africa’s case against the Israeli Occupation for allegations of genocide, citing the United Nations Convention on the Prevention and Punishment of the Crime of Genocide. Jordan, Colombia, Mexico, and Palestine have already participated, with Ireland, Belgium, and Chile planning to join. Spain aims to restore peace in Gaza, promote a two-state solution, and end the war.

South Africa filed the case in December 2023, and Spain, Norway, and Ireland have recognized the State of Palestine. The ongoing Israeli Occupation aggression in Gaza has led to thousands of casualties, destruction, and famine. Despite UN Security Council resolutions and orders from the International Court of Justice, Israeli Occupation continues military operations.

Spain’s intervention marks a significant step towards justice and peace in the region, as they join international efforts to hold the Israeli Occupation accountable for their actions and strive for a peaceful resolution between Palestinians and Israelis.
