Azerbaijan and Belarus Strengthen Trade Relations Through Electronic Systems

In a move to boost trade relations between Azerbaijan and Belarus, President Ilham Aliyev has signed a decree approving the “Protocol between the Government of Azerbaijan and the Government of Belarus on the mutual application of electronic systems for certifying the origin of goods.”

The protocol, signed on May 16, 2024, aims to streamline the process of certifying the origin of goods through electronic systems. The Ministry of Economy and the State Customs Committee of Azerbaijan are tasked with ensuring the implementation of its provisions upon the protocol’s entry into force.

Additionally, the Foreign Ministry of Azerbaijan has been assigned to notify the Government of Belarus about the completion of the necessary domestic procedures for the protocol to take effect. This initiative highlights the commitment of both countries to facilitate trade and strengthen economic cooperation through the use of innovative technologies.
