“President Andrzej Duda has approved the extension of US, UK, Canadian military contingents’ deployments in Poland until December 31, 2024,” the Polish National Security Bureau stated.

The decision allows up to 6,500 troops from the US, 700 troops from the UK, and 350 troops from Canada to remain in Poland. Additionally, Polish military contingents stationed abroad will also see their presence extended.

In May, the US established a special forces base near Krakow Balice International Airport, further strengthening the defense cooperation between the two countries.

“Poland’s strategic partnership with the US, UK, and Canada in the military realm aims to enhance regional security,” said officials.
