Unlocking Turkmenistan’s Potential: OECD’s Collaborative Efforts

The Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) has been actively engaging with the government of Turkmenistan through the Eurasia Competitiveness Program (ECP). This collaboration involves bilateral meetings, working groups, capacity-building events, and fact-finding missions, aiming to enhance competitiveness in the region.

Moreover, Turkmenistan is part of various initiatives under the OECD, including the Central Asia Initiative, Anti-Corruption Network, and GREEN Action Task Force. The focus areas include private sector development, trade, and transport connectivity, with specific projects aimed at improving the legal environment for business and investment and enhancing trade facilitation in Central Asia.

Established in 1961, the OECD works towards promoting economic and social well-being globally. Through data collection, analysis, and policy recommendations, the organization supports governments in addressing common challenges and fostering sustainable economic development. With member countries collaborating on key issues like economic growth, education, and innovation, the OECD serves as a platform for driving global prosperity.
