In a bold statement, the president of the Kurdish Independence Movement condemned the PKK/YPG terrorists’ planned municipal elections in Syria as illegal and lacking legitimacy, highlighting the group’s disregard for the wishes of Kurds and Arabs. Redif Mustafa emphasized that the PKK/YPG are merely extensions of the PKK terror organization, aiming to replicate their tactics in Syria. He also criticized their efforts to create a pseudo-legal framework to legitimize their rule in occupied territories and highlighted their ties to Qandil terrorists.
Constitution Matters
Mustafa stressed that only the national administration or the Syrian people should draft the Constitution, dismissing the authority of the so-called autonomous administration to do so. He called for a Constitution that encompasses all of Syria and condemned the PKK/YPG for targeting Kurdish political representatives and spreading false narratives to sow ethnic and sectarian discord.
Unity Against Terrorism
Mustafa urged residents in areas occupied by terrorists to take action and unite against groups like Daesh and PKK, emphasizing that Arabs are not ISIS and Kurds are not PKK. He called for collective action to defend their interests and future, highlighting the need for unity in the face of terrorism.
