Beirut – Lebanese Prime Minister Najib Mikati dismissed Israeli threats of a wider war as mere “psychological warfare.” During a visit to Southern Lebanon, Mikati condemned Israeli aggression, citing civilian casualties and village destruction.

Amid ongoing clashes between Hezbollah and Israeli forces, Mikati questioned the feasibility of conducting secondary school exams in the city of Tyre without Lebanese army presence. Despite threats to bomb exam centers, the government proceeded with exams, attributing the warnings to conflicted students.

This incident underscores the volatile situation in the region, where tensions between Lebanon and Israel persist. Mikati’s remarks serve as a reminder of the constant threat of conflict, urging for diplomatic solutions to avoid further escalation.
