Israeli propaganda: Toy claimed as weapon seized from Gaza Strip

334353

Recently, the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) tried to spread false propaganda by posting a photo of a toy gun on their official social media account, falsely claiming it to be a weapon recovered from the Gaza Strip. This misinformation was uncovered by the Center for Countering Disinformation under the Turkish Directorate of Communications.

A social media post revealed, “It has been found that the weapon in the photo posted on the IDF’s official account with the claim, ‘The weapon of a person arrested in Al-Khalil was confiscated,’ is not real.” The supposed rifle in the photo was identified as a toy available on various toy websites.

It is crucial not to give credit to Israel’s attempts to manipulate global public opinion and legitimize their actions in Gaza through false propaganda. In the face of such misinformation, it is important to stay informed and question the authenticity of the presented information.
