Special Team Formed to Rescue Tiger Sighted in Mysuru District
Officials of the forest department in Mysuru have launched a combing operation to rescue a tiger spotted on Mudalahundi Road in Nanjangud taluk. The tiger was captured on video by mobike riders, causing concern in nearby villages.
DCF K N Basavaraju, ACF N Lakshmikanth, and RFO K Surendra visited the area and formed a special team with the Leopard Task Force. Night vision cameras and drones were used to track the tiger’s movements, located 1.5 km from a government school.
Basavaraju urged nearby villagers to stay indoors and cooperate with forest officials for safety. The team is working to monitor and capture the tiger, ensuring the well-being of residents and school children.
