Spanish national involved in migrant smuggling from Nador to Melilla

A Spanish national was arrested by the National Spanish Police for smuggling migrants from Morocco’s Nador province to Melilla after being on the run for two years.

The fugitive was detected at passport control in Melilla, the Spanish news agency Europa Press reported.

He and another individual were involved in transporting a boat for human smuggling, part of a larger network that has been under investigation since 2022, leading to arrests under operation “Lanzadera”.
