South East professionals urge repatriation of Ekpa, condemn sit-at-home

Simon Ekpa

A group of prominent individuals from the South East region has strongly criticized the enforced sit-at-home order by suspected members of IPOB and ESN, stating that it is causing harm to the socio-economic well-being of the people.

Operating under the Coalition of South East Professionals Network, they expressed concern over the loss of innocent lives and the negative impact on businesses due to the activities of the secessionists. They also condemned the recent killing of soldiers in Aba and called for the perpetrators to face justice.

The group urged the Finnish government and EU to repatriate Simon Ekpa for allegedly denigrating Nigeria’s image. They emphasized the importance of supporting the military’s efforts to root out criminal elements in the region.

Speaking out against the sit-at-home order, they highlighted the peaceful and hospitable nature of the South East people and criticized the attacks on security forces. They called for continued support for Operation Udo Ka and commended the military’s actions to restore peace in the region.

The group also urged political authorities in the region to support the military and expressed confidence in the Military High Command.
