Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) Central Information Secretary Raoof Hasan urged Chief Justice of Pakistan Qazi Faez Isa to expedite the party’s pending petitions concerning the May 9 operation, election symbol review, and Feb 8 “mega polls fraud” to uncover the truth. Hasan emphasized the importance of addressing significant petitions and not overlooking them.
Former Gilgit-Baltistan Chief Minister Khalid Khurshid joined Hasan in the press conference, raising questions about the CJP’s silence over PML-N’s intra-party elections. Hasan expressed disappointment over his letters going unheard and alleged a conspiracy known as the “notorious London Plan” involving the CJP and Election Commission of Pakistan.
He criticized the SC for questioning PTI’s intra-party elections while ignoring the ECP’s doubts about the same. Hasan urged the SC to acknowledge the challenges faced by PTI during general elections and the international condemnation of the Feb 8 polls as “rigged”.
Khurshid highlighted global concerns about the credibility of the elections and called for a reevaluation of policies. The PTI vowed to cooperate in combating terrorism but opposed military operations in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
