The Palestinian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates strongly condemned the recent approval by the Israeli Occupation Cabinet to legalize five outposts in the West Bank and advance plans for thousands of new colonial units. The Ministry expressed concerns over the Israeli government’s continued settlement expansion, which hinders the possibility of a Palestinian state.
The Ministry held the Israeli Occupation’s government responsible for the negative impact of these actions on the conflict and the region. It called on the international community to intervene and impose sanctions on Israel to stop the illegal settlement activities in the West Bank and East Jerusalem.
The Ministry emphasized that the settlement expansion contradicts international resolutions, especially Resolution 2334, and undermines the two-state solution. It urged for immediate intervention to pressure the Israeli government to comply with international demands for peace.
