Iran’s oil production and exports have been on the rise, with Oil Minister Javad Owji presenting a comprehensive report to the Cabinet on the latest figures. Despite regular reports being sent to top officials monthly, Owji highlighted the significant increase in production over the past few years.
In the Iranian calendar year of 1398, production was at 2.290 million barrels per day, but saw a decrease in the following years before rising to 3.570 million barrels per day in the current year. This 60 percent increase in production over the past three years is a positive sign for Iran’s oil industry.
With the administration of President Raisi taking office, there has been a steady increase in production, reaching 2.6 million barrels per day by the end of 1401. The trend has continued, with production now at a record high of 3.570 million barrels per day.
Owji’s report to the Cabinet underlines the growth and potential of Iran’s oil sector, setting a positive course for the country’s energy future.
