Nigerian basketball talent Adem Bona was recently selected as the 41st overall pick by the Philadelphia 76ers in the NBA Draft, a significant accomplishment in his career. As a standout forward/center from UCLA, Bona becomes the only Bruin selected this year under the new two-night draft format.

With exceptional agility and defensive capabilities, Bona tied for the best standing vertical leap in the NBA Draft Combine. His versatility was evident in his consistent double-digit contributions in various games, solidifying his role as a key player for UCLA.
Standing at 6’10”, Bona was a defensive force in college, receiving recognition as the Pac-12 Defensive Player of the Year. His move to Philadelphia aligns him with NBA MVP Joel Embiid, whose mentorship is expected to further enhance Bona’s development in the professional arena.
