An Israeli airstrike in southern Syria resulted in the deaths of two individuals and the injury of a Syrian Arab Army serviceman, according to a statement from the Syrian Defense Ministry. The attack, launched from the occupied Golan Heights, occurred late at night on June 26, with Syrian air defense systems intercepting some of the incoming missiles. Despite their efforts, casualties and material damage ensued.

The repeated offenses by Israeli occupation forces highlight a pattern of violating Syria’s sovereignty, often extending to Lebanon. Recent incidents include an airstrike near Homs in western Syria and an aggression targeting a residential neighborhood in Baniyas on the Mediterranean coast, resulting in civilian injuries. Syrian air defenses successfully intercepted hostile targets over Homs, yet casualties like a little girl killed and civilians injured in Baniyas persist due to Israeli attacks.

These ongoing incursions by Israeli forces underscore the challenges faced by Syria in defending its territory and protecting its citizens from external threats.
