Turkey strongly denounces Bolivia coup attempt

Recently, the Turkish government and ruling party have expressed their alarm at a coup attempt in Bolivia. The Foreign Ministry voiced their deep concerns about the reported coup against the elected Bolivian government, emphasizing the importance of restoring democratic order and stability swiftly.

Furthermore, Ankara reiterated its firm stance against coups and military interventions, condemning any actions aimed at toppling legitimate governments. Fortunately, Bolivia managed to thwart the coup and apprehended two high-ranking military officials who orchestrated the uprising against President Luis Arce’s government.

Ömer Çelik, the vice chairman of Türkiye’s ruling AK Party, affirmed their support for Bolivia’s elected government and democratic principles, standing in solidarity with the will of the Bolivian people.
