Syria Participates in Regional Meeting on Young People’s Transition to Work in Tunisia
Syria recently took part in the Regional High-Level Meeting on Young People’s Learning, Skilling, and Transition to Decent Work in Tunisia on June 26-27. The meeting aimed to enhance expertise and experience in vocational training, employment, and digital transition in the Arab region. It sought to address challenges in transitioning young individuals from learning to work, especially in skill development, digital jobs, and AI.
Assistant Minister of Social Affairs and Labor Anas al-Dabash emphasized Syria’s efforts to enhance labor market legislation through constructive dialogue among workers, government, and employers. He also highlighted the labor market information platform’s significance, which provides accurate data on the job market and aligns educational outcomes with industry demands to shape effective employment policies.
This participation reflects Syria’s commitment to fostering a conducive environment for young individuals entering the workforce, showcasing their dedication to advancing labor regulations and aligning educational strategies with market needs for sustainable development.
