Bolivian President denounces coup attempt as armed forces withdraw from palace
On Wednesday evening, Bolivian armed forces retreated from the presidential palace in La Paz, and a general was arrested following President Luis Arce’s condemnation of a “coup” attempt against the government. Amid the chaos, Arce called for international support.

The Kremlin expressed hope for the restoration of calm in Bolivia after condemning the attempted coup. Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov emphasized the importance of resolving internal issues within constitutional legality and without interference from external parties.
