The Iranian government has announced that Iranians living in Canada will not be able to participate in the upcoming election. In response, ballot boxes will be set up at the border between the United States and Canada to allow Iranian nationals in Canada to cast their votes.
Alireza Mahmoudi, the official managing overseas election, urged Iranian nationals in Canada to take advantage of these polling stations and exercise their voting rights. He also mentioned that multiple polling branches have been established in countries like Germany, Iraq, the United States, and the United Kingdom.
With Friday being a regular workday abroad, voting will begin at 8 AM local time to accommodate Iranian voters. In Germany, there are five polling branches set up, while the United States has around 30 polling branches and several mobile units, and the UK has ten branches.
Despite facing challenges in Canada, Mahmoudi emphasized the importance of allowing all Iranians to participate in the election without political interference.
