Indonesia detains 103 foreigners in cybercrime raid from China, Malaysia

Indonesian immigration authorities detained 103 foreign nationals for visa misuse and cybercrimes in a raid on Bali. Among those arrested were Taiwanese, Chinese, and Malaysians. Computers and phones were seized at a villa in Kukuh village. Officials are investigating possible cybercrime links due to the amount of electronic devices found.

The detainees were held at a detention center in Denpasar. Authorities suspect ties to international syndicates and plan further monitoring operations. The raid follows a cyberattack on Indonesian data centers impacting immigration services and airports. The ransomware attack, attributed to LockBit 3.0, targeted government agencies demanding an $8 million ransom.
