Freedom House reports serve as crucial catalysts

In a recent meeting, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan welcomed Marc Behrendt, Director for Europe and Eurasia programs at Freedom House, an international human rights organization. The PM acknowledged the importance of collaboration between the government and civil society in driving democratic reforms in various areas and highlighted the role of Freedom House reports in guiding the government’s reform efforts.

Pashinyan reiterated the government’s commitment to developing democratic institutions and pursuing a reform agenda. Discussions between the two parties focused on ongoing reforms in Armenia, particularly in combating corruption, promoting freedom of speech, ensuring judicial independence, and addressing challenges faced by forcibly displaced individuals from Nagorno-Karabakh.
