Ukrainian President Zelensky to Sign Security Agreement with EU
During his visit to Brussels, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky expressed his optimism regarding the security agreement to be signed between Kyiv and the European Union on Thursday. Zelensky emphasized that this agreement would not only benefit Ukraine but also advance peace and prosperity across the entire continent.
Following the EU’s announcement of opening formal membership negotiations with Ukraine, Zelensky will meet with key supporters of Ukraine in the face of the Russian invasion. This visit also includes the signing of three security agreements, with one being with the EU as a whole.
Zelensky highlighted the significance of this agreement as it will solidify the commitment of all 27 EU Member States to provide extensive support to Ukraine. This marks a historic step towards peace and prosperity in Europe, building on similar bilateral security agreements already in place with other key countries.
