President Zardari Emphasizes Rehabilitation of Outlaws in Katcha Areas
President Asif Ali Zardari stressed the need for the rehabilitation of outlaws operating in the Katcha areas of Sindh if they surrender to the state. During a meeting in Sukkur, he highlighted the importance of improving infrastructure and socio-economic conditions in these areas.
Zardari proposed the creation of a national jirga to engage with tribal chiefs and local populations to bring about peace and security. He was briefed on the declining trend of crimes in Sindh, attributing it to the effective strategies employed by the police and Rangers.
The meeting also focused on intensifying the campaign against drug peddlers and enhancing the capacity of the Sindh Police with modern equipment and weapons. Zardari emphasized the importance of incentivizing police officials and supporting the families of police martyrs.
