In 2023, the Kakhovka Hydroelectric Plant dam was deliberately detonated by Russian forces, causing massive flooding and widespread devastation in the area. Tsyhyma and Mamonova captured the heroic efforts of the State Environmental Inspectorate officials in Kherson as they documented the aftermath of this catastrophic event.
