Israeli Military’s silence on the killing of a 6-year-old Palestinian girl, her family, and paramedics sent to rescue her has raised concerns. The Palestine Red Crescent Society revealed that they never received any contact or investigation from the Israeli military regarding the tragic incident that occurred 148 days ago.
Despite Israel’s claims that efforts to investigate were rebuffed, an independent investigation by Forensic Architecture showed that Israeli fire was likely responsible for the attack. The firm found it implausible that Israeli forces could have mistaken civilians, including children, in the car they shot at with 335 bullets.
Furthermore, contradicting Israel’s statement that there were no tanks in the area, witnesses and satellite imagery confirmed the presence of armed military vehicles. The State Department reiterated Israel’s claims without verification, emphasizing the need for credible information from concerned agencies.
After 12 days of uncertainty about the girl’s fate, the Red Crescent finally arranged an ambulance for the rescue, resulting in the tragic deaths of two paramedics near Hind, the young victim. The U.S. State Department’s ongoing reliance on Israeli assertions without verification has sparked criticism, highlighting the need for transparency and accountability in such cases.
