The Minister of Defense of Azerbaijan, Colonel General Zakir Hasanov, expressed his dissatisfaction with the double standards faced by Azerbaijan since regaining independence. In an interview with AZERTAC and AzTV, Hasanov highlighted the impact of the 30-year occupation of Azerbaijani lands, resulting in more than a million refugees and internally displaced persons.
Hasanov emphasized the efforts made to provide safe conditions for Armenians who chose to leave, debunking claims of forced eviction. He credited the leadership of President Ilham Aliyev and First Vice President Mehriban Aliyeva in addressing humanitarian issues and thwarting external forces seeking to undermine Azerbaijan.
Despite facing challenges and double standards, Hasanov affirmed the resolve of President Aliyev in safeguarding Azerbaijan’s interests and preventing external forces from achieving their objectives. Azerbaijan remains steadfast in defending its sovereignty and ensuring the well-being of its people.
