Two suspects have been charged in connection with the 2023 murder of Lee Bearsears, a 31-year-old individual from Little Pine First Nation.
Last October, authorities discovered Bearsears’ body on Poundmaker First Nation after responding to a report of a deceased person. Following investigations by the Saskatchewan Major Crimes Unit and the Saskatchewan Coroners Service, Bearsears was identified.
A man from Little Pine First Nation has been charged with second-degree murder, while another individual from Poundmaker First Nation has been charged with being an accessory after the fact to murder. The police have confirmed that the investigation is still ongoing.
