The Ahmed Kathrada Foundation commemorated the 60th anniversary of the Rivonia Trial on 12 June.
Between 9 October 1963 and 12 June 1964, the trial took place at the Palace of Justice in Pretoria and is widely recognized as “the trial that changed South Africa”.
Prominent leaders of the ANC and other anti-apartheid activists were sentenced to life imprisonment.
