BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir provided an update on party chief Khaleda Zia’s health, stating that her condition is stable after undergoing a pacemaker implantation in her heart. She was shifted to a cabin with CCU facilities due to personal difficulties adjusting to the CCU, ensuring her stability.

Khaleda, who has a history of heart issues, diabetes, arthritis, and other medical complications, was rushed to Evercare Hospital where a pacemaker was installed by a medical team led by cardiologist Prof Shahabuddin Talukder. Despite facing various health challenges, including the need for a liver transplant, she has been receiving treatment with the help of foreign doctors and her family’s efforts.

The BNP leader criticized the government for allegedly trying to remove Khaleda from politics by unjustly convicting her, causing her prolonged suffering. Despite challenges, efforts to provide her with adequate medical care continue, with the ultimate goal being a liver transplant to address her critical condition.
