Hanwha Aerospace Signs Contract with DAPA for KF-21 Engines
South Korea’s leading aerospace and defense corporation, Hanwha Aerospace, has secured a contract with the Defense Acquisition Program Administration (DAPA) to supply mass production engines for the KF-21. Valued at USD 401 million, the contract will see Hanwha Aerospace deliver over 40 F414 engines and spare modules from June 2024 to December 2027.
With a proven track record of producing over 10,000 engines in the past 45 years, Hanwha Aerospace aims to ensure timely delivery of the KF-21 engines. As the sole aircraft engine manufacturer in South Korea, the company will support the production of KF-21 throughout its lifecycle.
