Brigadier General Ayman Al-Alawneh, Director of External Patrols, commended the successful implementation of traffic plans that ensured the safe passage of 18,000 pilgrims on 424 buses through various border crossings and Queen Alia Airport. With no traffic incidents reported, the External Patrols Department’s comprehensive plans for the 1445 Hajj season were executed seamlessly.
The patrol teams escorted pilgrim buses, set up reception and rest tents, and provided medical assistance through a clinic and Civil Defense staff at key security stations. Specific patrols were dedicated to escorting buses carrying pilgrims of Arab nationalities, such as Palestinians and Egyptians, to the Saudi border and the airport, emphasizing group travel over individual trips.
Al-Alawneh’s remarks on Public Security Radio highlighted the meticulous planning and careful execution that ensured the safety and comfort of pilgrims throughout their journey. With a focus on coordination and organization, the External Patrols Department successfully managed the influx of pilgrims, setting a standard for future operations.
