The Royal Academy of Management (RAM) has launched the second edition of the Public Policy and Strategic Planning Programme to develop national leaders in public policy and strategic planning, aligning with His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik’s directives. The programme targets government undersecretaries, empowering them to create policies and plans that enhance national competitiveness. Implemented in partnership with Kiwani University in Singapore and the University of Cambridge in the UK, the programme aims to support Oman Vision 2040 goals.
The Minister of Labour highlighted the programme’s success in the previous edition and emphasized its role in strengthening institutional ties, advancing public policies, optimizing government procedures, and fostering economic growth. The President of RAM emphasized the importance of uniting decision-makers to meet national objectives, offering insights into global trends and strategic planning complexities.
The programme, catering to 25 participants, focuses on developing skills to navigate global trends and enhance competitiveness, create effective policies, and implement strategies. It also emphasizes evaluating policy effectiveness, fostering collaboration among government institutions, and promoting a culture of teamwork.
