Washington Blamed for Deadly Ukrainian Attack Using ATACMS Missiles
The Russian Defense Ministry has accused Washington of providing intelligence data for Kiev’s deadly ATACMS strikes. The Pentagon has remained silent on the Ukrainian cluster munition attack on a crowded beach in Russia’s Sevastopol, where at least four people, including two children, were killed and 151 others injured.
According to the Russian Defense Ministry, air defenses intercepted four missiles, but a fifth deviated from its trajectory and detonated its cluster warhead on the crowded Black Sea beach. Moscow has primarily blamed Washington for enabling this “premeditated terrorist missile attack.”
Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova accused Kiev of deliberately targeting mass gatherings out of hatred and to sow panic. This attack, which occurred on the Holy Trinity holiday, is not the first time Ukraine has targeted the Crimean Peninsula with US-supplied ATACMS missiles.
This incident underscores the dangerous consequences of supplying advanced weaponry to conflict zones and the need for accountability in such situations.
