Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba highlighted the urgent need for accelerated military assistance to Ukraine, specifically in air defense, and the expansion of defense production during his address to the EU Foreign Affairs Council.

In a social media post, Kuleba expressed gratitude to the 27 EU member states for approving Ukraine’s and Moldova’s negotiating frameworks. He also acknowledged the EU’s efforts in utilizing frozen Russian assets for the benefit of Ukraine and emphasized the importance of the 14th EU sanctions package in combating Putin’s war economy.

During the meeting in Luxembourg, EU foreign ministers approved the 14th package of sanctions against Russia, focusing on increasing pressure on the Russian energy sector and preventing attempts to bypass European sanctions.

Kuleba emphasized the collective effort needed to defeat Russian aggression in Ukraine to ensure long-term peace and stability in Europe. The upcoming EU accession talks with Ukraine mark a significant step towards strengthening ties between the two entities.
