Jewish woman attacked by pro-Palestinian family at NYC school

A New York City couple, Lana and Johan, experienced a horrifying assault at their children’s elementary school graduation, where they were targeted by a family shouting pro-Palestinian slogans. Lana, who is Jewish, and her Dominican-American Catholic husband were trying to take photos with their twins when the altercation began. The situation escalated quickly, with family members of a pro-Palestinian graduate pushing them aside and shouting anti-Israel remarks.

The incident turned violent as Lana’s husband was punched in the head, and her 16-year-old son was also attacked when trying to intervene. The New York Police Department arrested Ez-Al Dean Bazar, charging him with third-degree assault. The NYPD Hate Crime Task Force is conducting an investigation into the assault.

This alarming attack highlights the rising tensions in New York City and the importance of addressing and combating hate crimes. It is crucial to promote tolerance and understanding to prevent such incidents from occurring in the future.
